Join us for dinner or lunch in the relaxed charm of our classic English pub.” The former Professional Masterchef winner, took over the Arms in September 2024. In December 2024 Nottingham Hunt Sabs found the South Notts Hunt (which is kenneled at Epperstone, a 20 minute drive to the north) meeting at the pub. As they say on their Facebook page, “We had been hoping that the new owner of the Martin’s Arms…would break with tradition and decline to allow illegal foxhunts to continue to use his pub as a starting point for their meets. Unfortunately, this was not the case. (It was noticeable that the people with trays serving the riders tasty morsels were very anxious to avoid being photographed and they scuttled inside on our arrival. They could just refuse to host the hunt.)” He could just refuse them, indeed…
