“Peter Creed and Tom Noest, born and bred Cotswold gents, reopened the doors to this much-loved local pub in December 2017. The Bell pub offers a modern country pub feel…all with a strong focus on great hospitality and ambience.” Which the two ‘gents’ regularly extend to the Vale of White Horse (VWH) Hunt (a tradition they appear to have begun as soon as they opened the doors), and are looking to extend to anyone who wants to spend the day killing birds: under ‘Sporting‘ the ‘gents’ say that “Operating as a commission-free sporting agent, The Bell can offer anyone staying with us a range of excellent value pursuit days ranging from deer stalking, coarse fishing, driven game birds, simulated game, pigeon shooting, clay pigeon shooting, and walked-up rough shooting.” And maybe if you bring a horse they can help you go – er, ‘trail hunting’ with the VWH too…The duo own another pub, The Lamb Inn, offering almost identical ‘sporting opportunities’ just up the road in Shipton-under-Wychwood…
