The Sotterley Fair, a charity fundraising event, returned to Sotterley Hall after a short hiatus in June 2024. The founder said the show has ‘family and charity at its heart’ which makes it difficult to understand why it featured the Waveney Harriers (renamed as the Waveney and Norfolk Harriers in 2022). Hunts rely on shows like these to promote themselves and recruit new members and while the harriers do make an effort to follow scent trails, sabs at a meet on the Sotterley Estate in Oct 2023 noted that “nothing had changed” and South Norfolk Hunt Saboteurs filmed the hunt chasing a deer on Boxing Day 2023.
