“With 120 tenanted cottages, an award-winning business park and progressive dairy, all set within 1,800 hectares of managed Shropshire countryside, Sansaw offers a holistic vision for rural living and working.” With its ‘country’ landscapes header images. historic house, and cows on a turntable, the Sansaw website talks a good game. What they don’t appear to mention is their hosting of the North Shropshire Hunt, a hunt kenneled a shortish drive to the east. That hosting, according to Cheshire (Borderland) Monitors appears to be on a regular basis – the monitors certainly found the Hunt on the estate in November 2024 and again in January 2025 (in a joint meet with the notoriously violent Wynnstay). Just as damning is that the monitors say that Sansaw’s managing director James Thomson often rides with the very same Wynnstay Hunt, a violent and criminal pack the monitors know well and that has featured with almost monotonous regularity on Protect the Wild.
