Occasionally hosting events through the summer months.” Salle Park hosts charity events, opens its gardens (you can take a private tour for what it says is a reasonable fee), owns 30 properties it lets out, and talks (under ‘Farming’) about its ‘Environmental Features’. Everything seems to be detailed on its website – except for the pheasant-rearing operation taking place behind Salle Farm (we were sent a series of photographs of the pens but were asked not to publish them so have used a Google Maps screengrab instead). There is nothing environmentally-friendly about releasing non-native birds into the landscape or shooting them dead, but why spoil your public-facing image by letting on about the killing of birds for ‘sport’…
