Today Pearce Seeds is still run by the Tuffin family who farm in the Blackmore Vale in Dorset.” Recognise the name Tuffin? Estate Agents Symonds & Sampson lists one Andrew Tuffin as a Partner (Head of Farm Agency). Anyone who has watched the disgraceful behaviour of the Blackmore & Sparkford Vale Hunt (BSV) in recent years will recognise Mr Tuffin’s name (as well as that of his brother Mark). A Director of the BSV from 2016 – 2018, Mr Tuffin hosts meets of the BSV on his farm and actively promotes the Hunt on Facebook including the extremely dodgy ‘terrier’ dig out the BSV likes to entertain itself with in the summer. Almost inevitably, Symonds & Sampson sponsored the BSV point-to-point fundraiser at Wincanton Racecourse in March 2025…as indeed did the Tuffin-family-owned Pearce Seeds.
