A “rural photographer based in North Yorkshire”, Nina Edminson says she has “lived and been involved with the countryside all my life.” In North Yorkshire ‘rural’ and ‘countryside’ invariably means hunting and shooting, and Ms Edminson confirms that by saying that she “became involved with shooting, training and working my gun dogs” and then photographing ‘game shooting‘ (the killing of live birds in other words) and hunts. With galleries devoted to the Bedale Hunt, the Sinnington, the Derwent, the Cleveland and many more. Ms Edmonson is regularly namechecked by hunts on Facebook as the attached image shows.
