The website of the Inwood Estate says “The farmland and woodland all have the same purpose. They are for conservation, timber, amenity, field sports…” and “We are the caretakers through the generations of this idyllic part of the Blackmoor Vale.” Hunt monitors and sabs will note the reference to Blackmore Vale. While there is only a contact phone number on the estate’s website and no address (on Companies House the business has a London registered address), Inwood is the country home of Comte Richard de Pelet, who in 2017 was lauded in Horse & Hound: “In 41 years as chairman of the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale (BSV), Richard de Pelet has oiled the wheels of this successful Dorset pack with his generosity…Every year, in the week before the opening meet, he and his wife Isabel host the annual farmers’ drinks party and welcome up to 450 people into their home, Inwood. The opening meet is held at Inwood and the hounds are on the estate, which is 90% grassland in the centre of the hunt country, every three weeks throughout the season.” De Pelet owns large areas of land locally the BSV still ride over and in September 2024 offered a Dinner for 10 for a fundraiser for the BSV on the Jumblebee auction site which was captioned “With many opening meets hosted at Inwood, this is a unique opportunity to have dinner for 10 guests in the historic house, hosted by ex B&SV Chairman Richard de Pelet!”
