Hatton Estate’s Escape Room Adventures “take you on a journey of discovery as you puzzle your way through the gameplay and unlock the many secrets within.” Could one of those secrets be that Hatton’s owner and one of its LLP Designated members is Johnnie Arkwright, is a former Director of the Countryside Alliance (the organisation set up to fight the hunting ban, Mr Arkwight was a Director from 2004 – 2014 and again from 2016 – 2022) because there’s nothing on the website to advise pro-wildlife ‘escapers’. Google Jonnie Arkwright and fox hunting, incidentally, and you’ll learn he is a regular rider with the Warwickshire Hunt and be led to a Daily Mail splash about Mr Arkwright which opens with “Wealthy landowner who lives in a 12-bedroom Georgian mansion claims that ‘snowflakes’ only oppose fox hunting because they ‘don’t really like’ privileged people.” Yeah, Jonnie, if that helps you sleep at night – but take it from us that’s not what it’s all about at all…
