Hatton Country World “is your ultimate destination for great days out in Warwickshire Countryside.” Owner Jonnie Arkwright (who stood down as Director of the Countryside Alliance in November 2014 after a ten year term) may have had other ‘great days out’ in mind when he was campaigning against the Hunting Act, claiming in a 2019 interview with the Daily Mail that ‘grown men were in tears’ over the ban in 2004, and said the reason “the ‘snowflake generation’ [many of whom may well be thinking of visiting Hatton Country World] don’t like fox-hunting has nothing to do with animal cruelty, and is purely because they ‘don’t like’ the rich.” We suspect those ‘snowflakes’ would say, ‘No, Jonnnie, not all of them – just the ones who terrorise wildlife’…
