Hatton Country World “is your ultimate destination for great days out in Warwickshire Countryside.” Owner Jonnie Arkwright (a regular rider with the Warwickshire Hunt and who stood down as Director of the Countryside Alliance in November 2014 after a ten year term) may have had other ‘great days out’ in mind when he was campaigning against the Hunting Act, claiming in a 2019 interview with the Daily Mail that ‘grown men were in tears’ over the ban in 2004, and said the reason “the ‘snowflake generation’ [many of whom may well be thinking of visiting Hatton Country World] don’t like fox-hunting has nothing to do with animal cruelty, and is purely because they ‘don’t like’ the rich.” We suspect those ‘snowflakes’ would say, ‘No, Jonnnie, not all of the rich – just the ones who terrorise wildlife’…
