“Located in the heart of Devon, the Duke of York is a traditional village Inn…overlooking the lovely Okment valley with splendid views of the high Tors of Dartmoor to the South…just a traditional pub serving great food and beer.” Devon, Dartmoor, and a ‘traditional’ pub – that means hunting surely? Indeed it does. Devon County Hunt Sabs found the notorious Eggesford Hunt (who they described as “convicted wildlife criminals” and are kennled at Wembworthy, a short drive to the east) meeting at the Duke of York on Christmas Eve 2024.
