Coghlans at Barningham (N Yorks)

“Coghlans at Barningham has been created by Janet Coghlan to focus on premium quality food and service in all aspects of hospitality and catering.” All aspects seems about right. Coghlans do seem to do an awful lot with food and food-related activities. This being North Yorkshire, an area of England packed with shoots (and raptor persecution – it’s repeatedly singled out as a bird of prey persecution hot spot), surely ‘shooting’ will be catered for somehow? Of course. Under ‘Shooting Lunches’, Coghlans’ copywriter has gone especially misty-eyed, saying their Meals in Fields brand “are perfectly located to supply served lunches in moorland lunch hut locations complete with beautiful table linen, exemplary experienced and discreet service staff, fine food that is beyond expectation and at a competitive price that adds to that special day in the field.” Indeed, nothing really says “spending a great day killing birds” better than beautiful table linen…
