Clean Ian (Herefords)

“Give your home a fresh look. Touch, see, smell and feel the difference”, says the website of Ian ‘Clean Ian’ Jones. Sounds great, but hold on – don’t we know a man with that name from a number of hunt reports? Indeed we do. Mr Jones is a staple follower of many hunts. He was out cubbing with the United Pack in August 2024, was recorded by a member of the public at the hiding of the still warm body of a fox killed by the same notorious hunt in February 2025, but perhaps most infamously was charged in June 2023 by Cheshire Police with “threatening or abusive words or behaviour that would cause harassment, alarm or distress” for giving repeated Nazi-style ‘seig heil’ salutes to a female member of the Cheshire Borderland Monitors who is in her seventies. Perhaps not the ‘approach’ he is referring to on the About page of his site when he writes “This approach to work has led to a large amount of referral work, including becoming a trusted supplier to many WI members in the communities stated above.” We can’t help but ask if that’s really the sort of endorsement the Women’s Institute (motto ‘Inspiring Women’) wants to be giving to a man like this…
