Those ‘sporting opportunities’ are actually ‘holidays’ to kill birds (and wild boar) in Scotland, Spain, and Morocco. The sales pitch is typically hyperbolic and a great insight into the romanticised and self-glorifying descriptions that shooters – sorry, “travelling sportsmen seeking adventures” – use to portray themselves and their days spent in otherwise idyllic surroundings putting holes into animals.
