Nimrod Veterinary Products (Glos)

“Nimrod Veterinary Products Ltd was founded in 2007 by David Renney, a veterinary surgeon with a particular interest in farm-animal and equine medicine.” Renney is the current Managing Director of Nimrod and is also the chairman of the Veterinary Association for Wildlife Management (VAWM): Nimrod and VAWM are based at the same business village in Moreton-in-Marsh. VAWM began life as Vets for Hunting, and still argues that hunting should form part of wildlife control. Nimrod has proudly sponsored point-to-point racing across several West Mercian counties. Point-to-point racing is a fundraiser for hunts, and Renney used to be a point-to-point racer himself. The pro-hunting lobby group Hunting Kind (a collection of hunters that wants its ‘kind’ to be recognised as a minority group and their ‘beliefs’ protected under the Equality Act) counts Renney as one of its ‘pack’, and states that Renney has “hunted since childhood.”
