“Our working family run Farmhouse is set on the edge of the Mendip Hills in Somerset…We are ideally placed to explore the beautiful West Country, benefiting from a good road network, but maintaining the tranquillity of a country farm.” What is it with so many ‘country farms’ around England that boast about ‘tranquillity’ but then allow a notoriously violent hunt to meet on their property? The Mendip Farmers Hunt met at Green Lane Farm in January 2025. Three foxes were seen to safety by Mendip Hunt Sabs and Salisbury Plain Hunt Sabs as the Farmers hunted between Farrington Gurney, Cameley and Litton. As Mendip Hunt Sabs sagely put it, Green Lane Farm B&B is “another place to avoid if you care for wildlife.”
