“Penbedw Estate offers a number of services for those looking to get into the countryside. We have a Wedding Yurt seating up to 160 people, Airbnb options…” etc etc. One way to ‘get into the countryside’ might be to take the opportunities offered by Penbedw to see up close the Flint and Denbigh Hunt. Three reviews on Trip Advisor from 2022/23 refer explicitly to the Flint and Denbigh being on the estate and hunting. According to North Wales Hunt Sabs, the hunt chased two foxes and put hounds onto a badger sett on the estate in mid-September 2024, both illegal and acting far “from the Smokescreen they were trying to portray at their ‘Smokescreen Saturday’ event” the weekend before. Does Penbedw know that allowing hunts to commit an offence on their land is unlawful under Section 3 of the Hunting Act 2004? Perhaps the ‘PitchUp’ website which “make it a doddle to book a campsite, caravan park or glamping site” and lists Penbedw aren’t that fussy about hunting or protecting wildlife either…
