Kilkenny Barn is a traditional 18th-century threshing barn repurposed to produce “the perfect setting for a variety of events.” It is situated on Kilkenny Farm, which was noted in a Horse & Hound article from January 2023 to host meets of the Vale of White Horse Hunt (VWH) – of which the owner of Kilkenny Barn and Farm, Nick Phillips, has been a Master since 2017. The VWH was exposed by a Hunt Investigation Team undercover operation to be illegally hunting on another VWH member’s land. Mr Phillips also has an interest in selling wildlife to be shot, offering “A days lowland stalking for Roe, Fallow or Muntjac deer between October 2023 and April 2024. A guaranteed shot at one of the above species” as a prize in a hunt staff fundraiser on his Kilkenny Farm. Interestingly another ‘Barns’ business is also run out of Bibury – Bibury Farm Barns, which is run by Saltway Properties Ltd, Competition must be fierce?Perhaps but then Nick Phillips is a former Director of Saltway, which is run by one George Phillips….
