Zed Security (Essex)

“As a well-respected and reliable security company, we have worked with a number of prestigious clients across the East of England, such as the NHS, Colchester City Council, Colchester United FC, Cambridge University, Essex County Cricket Club…” From ‘prestigious’ to ‘the dregs: ‘Zed’ were out working with the Essex and Suffolk Hunt in September 2025 and again in November 2025. Oh dear. Suffolk Action for Wildlife (SAF) found the ‘well-respected’ company protecting the hunt in September while the Essex and Suffolk were illegally cubbing after a tiny meet of just six riders set off from Gosbeck Village Hall. To quote SAF on X, “Security were out again, though they seemed confused as to why they were there.” They seemed to know exactly what they were doing in November when one of Zed’s ‘team’ was filmed wrestling a sab to the ground and making violent threats (see “Wrestled to the ground for trying to protect foxes“). It could be considered ‘unlawful assistance’ for a security company to provide services that facilitate illegal hunting – such as monitoring an area to deter law enforcement or providing personnel to assist illegal hunting, Is that something the likes of eg Colchester City Council, Colchester United FC, Cambridge University, Essex County Cricket Club really want to be associated with?
