A wedding photographer based in Northumberland, Ms Johnson says she loves “my camera, creating memorable images of unforgettable times, by documenting natural honest moments.” What what they be? A report on a talk to a local camera club was opened with “Members were transported to the countryside, to the thrill of the Hunt, to share in the love of the rural way of life which strongly defines Verity’s work”. Hunting is indeed very much part of Ms Johnson’s ‘unforgettable times’: she on something called the Hunting Category of Leica Fieldsports Photographer of the Year 2015, donated a ‘photo diary’ prize of a day out with the notorious Tynedale Hunt during the 2018/19 ‘season’, and her ‘honest moments’ include going out to photograph so-called ‘trail hunting’ with the likes of the Morpeth Hunt and the notorious Tynedale Hunt. She was on hand to catch the jollity at the latter’s fundraiser Point to Point in 2023 and at their ‘Ball’ in 2024.
