“Tysoe Manor is a substantial Grade II* listed manor house dating originally from around 1300. The house contains many traditional features, including mediaeval windows, oak studded doors, fireplaces and impressive oak staircases” etc…so goes the listing for Tysoe Manor on Luxury Cotswold Rentals which also states that “The current owners have sympathetically and comprehensively updated the property over the last three years…” Updated the property but perhaps stuck to outdated views on hunting, as West Midlands Hunt Sabs reported on Facebook in November 2024 that “The Warwickshire Hunt, smaller in numbers this season, began drinking and chatting at their hunt meet at Tysoe Manor in an attempt to show off in front of their American hunting guests.” The Warwickshire are just the second hunt body ever convicted under the Hunting Act, and as pointed out in comments below the post, this is a) pro-hunt PCC Philip Seccombe’s home patch, and (perhaps related) b) why do the police allow hunts to drink?
