Tremedda Farm/Moomaid of Zennor ice cream (Cornwall)

Supporters of so-called ‘trail hunting’might  ask why we’re listing Tremedda, and suggest that just because Tremedda hosts the Western Hunt it isn’t supporting blood sports. Consider this though: the Western’s Huntsman is John Sampson, the very same man who has a conviction for his hounds being dangerously out of control when they killed a beloved pet cat, Mini, in her own garden in 2021; a conviction which he tried to appeal but which was rejected.  Not only is he still riding with the hunt, West Cornwall hunt sabs Penwith monitoring writes in their HIT report that Sampson “actually seems to be getting worse at controlling the pack…it really beggars belief that he has made no effort to better his skills at controlling them, you would think that he would make every effort to stop the possibility of that ever happening again, but no.” That’s why…
