To quote a supporter: “Last year the new owners of The Blue Boar in Maldon refused to host the annual Boxing Day/ New Year’s Day meet of the Puckeridge & Essex Union hunt. There was great rejoicing amongst many people as it looked like it was finally to be a thing of the past, until the owners of The Swan in Maldon stepped in in support of the hunt and allowed it to meet there.” The new host was also reported by Action Against Foxhunting on Facebook.
