“A 17th century pub in Stretton On Fosse located in The North Cotswold’s [sic]…the award-winning Plough Inn is a quaint and quirky pub near Moreton-in-Marsh, Shipston on Stour and Chipping Campden.” Quaint means ‘old fashioned’ and quirky means ‘having or characterized by peculiar or unexpected traits or aspects”, both of which perhaps explain why this pub took the ridiculous decision to host a meet of the criminal Warwickshire Hunt in December 2024. As AAF Midlands accurately put it in a Facebook post, “In a recent Channel 4 news report a Warwickshire Police officer used the term OCG [Organised Crime Gang] to describe the hunt and disclosed that Warwickshire Police pick and choose which laws they apply to them. Businesses such as the Plough Inn are part of these organised crime groups, allowing them to conduct their illegal hunting and subsequently allowing them to inflict their anti social behaviour and dangerous road use on local communities.” Indeed.
