“The Plough Inn is situated in the small village of Stoke Lacy, a peaceful and rural area of Herefordshire, just 4 miles south east of Bromyard and 10 miles north east of Hereford.” ‘Peaceful and rural’ until the hoorahs of the Herefordshire and Clifton Hunt get stuck into the mulled wine and mince pies at a fundraising event at the Plough anyway. Kenneled just down the A417 in Bodenham, the Hunt no doubt know Stoke Lacy well. Herefordshire Hunt Sabs know the hunt well in turn, giving their opinion on Facebook that “No reputable business would want to be associated with this bunch of thugs and criminals.” It does seem an odd decision as we move ever closer to the inevitable ‘proper ban’ that hunts have brought on themselves after 20 years of animal abuse and lawbreaking…
