“The Pheasant enjoys a beautiful rural setting with extensive views across the Cheshire plain to the Welsh hills. Here you can get far away from it all… but remain astonishingly close to the city.” The perfect hunt country for the urban equestrian to get their fix and the perfect venue to finish off a season’s (ahem) ‘trail hunting’ with food and drinks served by the pub. The Pheasant was where the notorious Cheshire Hunt said goodbye to another few months of terrorising the local wildlife, watched by Cheshire Against Blood Sports, Cheshire Indies, Liverpool Hunt Sabs, and Welsh Border Wildlife Protectors. It seems unlikely that any of them – or any of us reading this – will be spending money at The Pheasant anytime soon…
