Eight miles from Winchester, “Our vibrant country pub is the perfect place for the family to relax and enjoy our homemade food, beautiful big garden and restaurant (dogs welcome).” A country pub that welcomes dogs and has a large car park…? A prime target for a hunt looking for a meet venue, and sadly Surrey Hunt Sabs found the notorious Hampshire Hunt – which is kenneled just up the road near Alresford – meeting at the pub in February 2025.
