“Nestled between Scarborough and Whitby and with panoramic views of the stunning North York Moors, The Grainary is the ideal place to relax and unwind. Situated on a working farm, in the pretty village of Harwood Dale, there is something for the whole family to enjoy.” The ‘working farm’ in the Grainary’s blurb is Keasbeck Hill Farm, “which has diversified into a well-established and profitable commercial and leisure complex, providing a restaurant/tearooms, farm shop, plant centre, letting bedrooms, holiday cottages & wedding venue.” The North York Moors National Park is a raptor persecution hotspot and blighted by numerous hunts including the Derwent Hunt (the hunt which was caught trespassing on Yorkshire Wildlife Trusts’ Chaefer Wood Nature Reserve in February 2024), and it was the Derwent which was found by East Yorkshire Coast Hunt Sabs at a meet at Keasbeck Hill Farm in November 2024. The sabs’ drone recorded illegal fox hunting that day.
