“You might call us a country hotel, you might call us a collection of quirky Treehouses, rooms and huts nestled in a hillside within a 500-acre private estate, or you might even call us your gateway to a world of relaxation and outdoor adventure.” Or you might call them naive and supporters of animal abuse? That’s a decision you might reach when you see – and this is current remember, not something from the 1950s – a Boxing Day promotion which says “Start your Boxing Day with a proper breakfast…Head into Broadway to watch the traditional hunt –  an event full of local charm and festive atmosphere”. Seriously? Either the Directors of The Fish are ignorant and have missed the literally thousands of online reports of illegal hunting and hunt havoc, have just swallowed the ludicrous line put out by the North Cotswold Hunt that they are ‘conservationists’ (a stretch that would beat Mr Stretch in the stretching world championships), or they hunt too. None of those options show them – from a pro-wildlife perspective anyway – in a positive light…
