Alongside our renowned Spitting Feathers beers…” Hmm, ‘spitting feathers’ eh. Modelled on a host of other craft beer companies, there’s an irony to that phrase as the Spitting Feathers’ owned Brewery Tap (with its King’s Kitchen) hosted a ‘Game Night’ in November 2024. No, not darts, dominoes, or draughts, but a shooting lobbyist-sponsored evening of dead birds courtesy of BASC – who are always trying desperately to convince the public that the 40 million pheasants reared and released to be shot every year are somehow not being dumped in stink pits or in piles on shooting estates but are (honest, guv) being served up by kitchens in ‘trendy’ eateries like the Brewery Tap. Spitting feathers, indeed…
