“Quirky little village pub with over 150 gins an [sic] including our own ‘Dilly Spirits’, six cask ales.” Alcohol aplenty and owned by a supporter of the Grove and Rufford Hunt (see The Crown Inn, Normanton) – perhaps no surprise then that Sheffield Hunt Saboteurs found the notorious Grove and Rufford at the Bees Knees in December 2025, where supporters blocked sab vehicles and hunt staff were later “hunting every willow plantation along the way, stopping often to gather hounds who kept rioting throughout the day.” The ban on so-called ‘trail hunting’ can’t come soon enough…
