Tayto Group Limited is a manufacturer of crisps and corn snacks based in Tandragee, County Armagh. They describe themselves as the third largest snack manufacturer in the United Kingdom and are proud to be “the people behind some of Britain’s favourite snacks including the iconic Golden Wonder and Tayto brands, irresistible pork scratchings from Mr Porky, Midland Snacks and Real Pork Crackling Co as well as premium crisps such as REAL handcooked crisps.” Tayto states it has ‘nothing to do with foxhunting’, and as a business it doesn’t – but it is owned by the Hutchinson family. Stephen Hutchinson, who is listed as Tayto NI”s Director on Companies House, is a prolific fox hunter, former Chair of the South Tyrone Foxhounds, and is now part of the Iveagh Foxhounds, which South Ulster Hunt Sabs called in 2023 the ‘most violent hunt in the north of Ireland’.
