“Oven cooked Jacket Potatoes with home made fillings, Hot Pork Rolls, Hot dogs, hot and cold drinks, outdoor seating, located in the centre of Taunton.” It’s odd that businesses still seem keen to align themselves with hunting and laud “a rousing speech from the hunt master about the new laws that are trying to be passed”, especially as a proper ban finally looms, but the owner of Spud-Shack decided (as is his right, of course) to go online and conflate farming with animal abuse and lawbreaking. There are apparently around 75 fast food outlets in Taunton, so visitors who don’t want to support such an outdated view have plenty of alternatives…
