“Traditional Devon Cider – Produced in the heart of the West Country… Cider making has gone back to its roots to produce proper ciders and Scrumpies and is now named after his mentor “Sam’s Cider”. Etc etc. Yes, it’s cider, but why is it listed here? Because – and we can only assume the marketing department thought it would be fun to troll us – we were sent a marketing email which suggested we “Add a Taste of Devon to Your Next Shoot with Sam’s Cider” and “As the season gets underway, why not treat your guns and beaters to something local, traditional, and refreshing?” That’s a hard ‘no’ – we won’t be treating ourselves to Sam’s Cider, and we certainly won’t be encouraging armed men to drink alcohol…
