Rusty Fox is a “Beautiful independent boutique in the market town of Malton”, which is just a short drive from Snainton and the Derwent Hunt’s home-from-home The Coachman Inn. The Coachman hosted the Derwent Hunt’s Christmas Fayre fundraiser (presumably hunts insist on using the pseudo-archaic spelling of ‘fair’ to suggest ‘tradition’?) where Rusty Fox was a stallholder in November 2024. Considering the Derwent’s ‘interest’ in foxes (this was the hunt caught on film by the Helmsley Monitors blatantly trespassing on Yorkshire Wildlife Trusts’ Chafer Wood Nature Reserve in early 2024) we can only suppose the owner either embraced the opportunity to show a ‘devil may care’ attitude – or just doesn’t care about illegal fox hunting at all, which (were it the case) given the company name would be downright disrespectful…
