“A Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location, which accepts just five caravans or motorhomes and is for Club Members only…” Raydon Hall is a listed camp site on several camping websites, including the Caravan and Motorhome Club. Reviews are good but we do wonder what the reaction of those same clients might be if they knew Raydon Hall is also a meet venue for the hare-hunting Stour Valley Beagles? Essex and Suffolk Hunt Sabs have found the ‘sour’ Valley at Raydon on several occasions, including most recently in January 2026, when the hunt’s out-of-control beagles inadvertently sabbed a local pheasant shoot! The Sabs describe Roydon as “one to avoid for any happy campers who love wildlife and the nearby forests.” Hard to argue with that…
