“Over the years, Quiller Publishing has been built into an extremely well-respected publishing company, focusing originally on country sporting subjects and, in recent years, diversifying into lifestyle titles along with a number of noted and highly regarded biographies and autobiographies. In 2021 Quiller Publishing Ltd was acquired by Amberley Publishing in a deal which Amberley said would “provide a strong addition to Amberley’s existing non-fiction catalogue and support our long-term growth strategy”.” No, to be honest, we’d not heard of Quiller Publishing before, but a quick glance through its titles – which include “Gamekeeping: An illustrated History”, “True to the Line: A Hunting Life”, and “The Deer Stalking Handbook” – would explain why. Oh, and if you really want books written by the appalling ‘Johnny Scott’ – who “wrote and co-presented the BBC2 series Clarissa and the Countryman with Clarissa Dickson Wright” and is “currently: Joint Master and Chairman, The North Pennine Hunt; Regional Director, Vote OK; President, The Gamekeepers Welfare Trust; President, The Tay Valley Wildfowlers Association; President, The Newcastle Wildfowlers Association” etc – Quiller is THE place to go…
