“Living history on the beautiful North Cornish coast. Since its completion in 1592 the same family have lived in this charming Elizabethan manor. Take a tour of the house or stroll in the tranquil grounds overlooking the ancient deer park.” Or, alternatively, have a stiff drink on the terrace before going off around that same deer park – ahem, ‘trail hunting’. That certainly appears to be what was offered to Redruth’s Four Burrow Hunt, a small gang of which was photographed enjoying Prideaux’s hospitality in March 2026 by West Cornwall Hunt Saboteurs. The house and grounds are open to the rest of us ordinary fee-paying members of the public from Easter, but were it our money we would spend it elsewhere…
