“Potterne Park Farm is a working farm with over 400 acres of fields and woodland, so the lodges offer a real taste of the countryside…Our two self-catering lodges are nestled in the heart of our busy arable and livestock farm, and surrounded by the stunning countryside of the Pewsey Vale.” Which all sounds lovely – except the Holiday Lodge business is owned by PD & AP Abbatt who also own Cadley Farm just a few fields away. The Abbatts and Cadley Farm hosted a meet of the notorious Royal Artillery Hunt in November 2024 – right before Storm Bert hit and lashed the region. The HIT report from the Salisbury Plain Hunt Sabs makes for very interesting reading, and hints that having been relentlessly sabbed by the Salisbury Plain HS and refused a licence to hunt on Salisbury Plain this ‘season’ the RAH is a very spent force indeed…
