“PolyPads have paved the way in creating professional, practical solutions for equestrians of all abilities. With years of manufacturing and equestrian experience behind us, we endeavour to produce quality products for every rider, at every level.” Back in the real world, PolyPads are just a pad that goes between the horse and the saddle. The brand was main sponsor for the Fernie Hunt’s ‘Ladies Day’ fundraiser in February 2025. Presumably that means PolyPads paid the hunt to put its brand in front of the hunt’s supporters? Interestingly, according to Companies House (which lists the business as a ‘Manufacture of luggage, handbags and the like, saddlery and harness’) the brand is in liquidation having last submitted accounts in May 2022, with ‘Commencement of winding up’ starting on 05 January 2024 a full year before it sponsored the Fernie. How odd. That might lead to all sorts of speculation about due diligence, creditors, and mates-rates but to keep the lawyers onside we won’t go down that route…
