“Escape to the English Countryside with the Pitchford Estate. “Owned since 2016 by Rowena Colthurst and James Nason (the latter a tech sector lobbyist with a company called Inline Policy), “the thousand acre Pitchford Estate is…home to Pitchford Hall (Generals’ Quarters), Windy Mundy Farm, Stockbatch Granary and Tree House Barn, four holiday lets available…a country escape that we hope that you’ll love as much as we do.” Sounds great, but that ‘country escape’ appears to have been offered to the South Shropshire Hunt – a hunt with a CPW (Community Protection Warning) against it – who went on the estate in November 2024 and (as reported by Shropshire Monitors) illegally blocked up a badger sett. Having spent so much time and money reconstructing the family seat, it would be unfortunate if the estate gained a reputation going forward as host to an unreconstructed hunt like the South Shropshire…
