Deep in the heart of the Cotswolds, Oxleaze is “An organic farm, dedicated to preserving and protecting the surrounding natural environment…a thriving business…each enterprise directly contributes to our diversified farming model, allowing us to balance productivity in harmony with nature.” Sounds great. The Oxleaze website is adorned with happy brides and beautiful Cotswold landscapes – so what’s the problem? As so many examples demonstrate, this is hunting country and unfortunately Oxleaze is mentioned numerous times by both Three Counties Hunt Sabs and Cotswold Hunt Sabs as the location for hunt meets (of the Heythrop Hunt and the Vale of White Horse Hunt respectively). Tell us it ain’t so, Oxleaze, because right now your claim of ‘harmony with nature’ appears to have horse-sized holes in it…
