Oxfordshire-based Olivia Pile “started hunting as a teenager with the VWH [Vale of White Horse Hunt], but life got in the way and I moved and so didn’t get to hunt for a while. Now I hunt with the Old Berks Hunt, in Oxfordshire.” Organising a life around hunting? If it were ‘just ‘riding’ or ‘loving my horses’ we’d probably understand, but being proud to shoehorn ‘hunt’ so many times in to two sentences (along with the seemingly obligatory photo of a dog with a dead bird clenched between its jaws and the advertising in the footer of the Old Berks Hunt website) does give a rather clear idea just what Ms Pile is interested in when she’s not shooting weddings…
