An “award winning professional dog and equestrian photographer based in Devon”, Nicky Woods is undoubtedly a very good photographer indeed. The dog photographs she takes are wonderful. Would we use her to photograph any of the dogs we know though? We would not, because we really can’t spend money with anyone who seems to support hunts – as the numerous photos of the Eggesford Hunter Trials and two different Dartmoor Hunt fun rides as well as of both the 2023 (summer and winter) and the 2024 Dartmoor Hunt Balls would seem to prove. All of the latter are of course fundraisers for the Dartmoor, no matter how they are dressed up and artfully presented. You may make a different choice of course (we are grateful to Ms Woods, though, for pointing us to numerous venues that also support the Dartmoor Hunt which we will be listing asap…)
