Hosted by Reaseheath College (“a land-based further education college offering a range of diplomas, apprenticeships, and adult courses”) the Nantwich Show is one of many ‘country shows’ that are ready to promote hunting. At the Nantwich Show, it’s the Cheshire Hunt that get to showcase its particular brand of ‘countryside pursuits’ via a ‘supporters stand’, a short talk, and parading its dogs around the main ring. Oddly the Hunt wasn’t mentioned in the Show’s exhibitor list, but – along with the Cheshire Beagles – the hunt was given yet another opportunity to tell its version of events to the public.
