“Welcome to Marrington” says their website “a magical private estate with a collection of luxury holiday cottages, deep in the heart of south Shropshire. Put the car on charge on us, kick off your shoes and get back to nature in our dog friendly, self catering homes.” Back to nature and dog-friendly, you say? Let’s look at that for a moment. ‘Escapes’ is run by Chris Morris, the son of one Robin Morris, Chair of Morris & Co and Hunt Master of the United Pack (UP), a hunt that blights the lives of people in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. The UP has been found at Marrington Hall (owned by the Morris family and offered as part of the ‘Escapes’ brand) by Shropshire Wildlife Monitors indulging in cub hunting, a nasty practice where hunts train their dogs on fox cubs! So, not ‘dog friendly’ for foxes, then – and not mentioned once on the company’s pretty website…
