“Market Bosworth RFC is an amateur rugby club located on Cadeby Lane near the historic town of Market Bosworth.” So far, so unremarkable. What connects a small rugby club with a notorious fox hunt like the Quorns is difficult to work out, but perhaps the clue is in the Quorn’s claim to be ‘the most famous pack in the world’ and an undercurrent of support manages to separate the images of animal abuse from the ‘tradition’ and blather about ‘community’. Whatever the link, the club lent the hunt their car park and facilities, allowing riders, supporters and hounds to park and off load for the Quorn’s fundraising Boxing Day ‘parade’ through the town, for which they were thanked by the hunt Secretary.
