“Set on a working farm in Somerset, Manor Farm B&B is the ideal base for touring Bath, Wells and Cheddar Gorge.” Would that ‘touring’ be on horseback, because this ‘luxury B&B’ (which gives its address as ‘Bath’ rather than the less-fashionable Radstock, which it is actually close to) hosted the notoriously violent Mendip Farmers Hunt in November 2025. Mendip Hunt Sabs noted that the hunt “demonstrated the full range of animal cruelty, anti social, criminal and public order issues that occur every time they venture into the Mendip countryside to get their sadistic kicks.” There are around 200 guesthouses/B&Bs in the wider area, and that’s well before getting anywhere near Bath itself. Us pro-wildlife folk, in other words, have plenty of alternatives…
