A “traditional agricultural estate near Swaffham in Norfolk. The house is a family home not open to the public but the gardens are open five days a year for charity and also “by appointment”.” Which undoubtedly includes shooters looking to kill pheasants on the ‘200 bird pheasant days’ for 8 guns run here by the owners, a former High Sheriff of Norfolk and his partner, the former County Organiser of the National Gardens Scheme for 22 years. Shooters are fed and watered and even taken to kill the birds in a “custom built shooting wagon”.
