“Lacock Dairy produces high quality Gelato from creamy sweet milk produced on the farm…situated in Lacock. a lovely village in Wiltshire which has a unique history and a beautiful Abbey.” Gelato? Ice-cream that is slight different to ice-cream, but still ice-cream. And Lacock does indeed have ‘history’ in a hunting context – it was the village that welcomed the thugs and pissed-up criminals of the Avon Vale Hunt for a Boxing Day brawl every year. Talking of the Avon Vale, they shafted themselves after a junior member leaked a video of them digging out a fox, largely relocated to Bromham (where the notorious Jonathon Seed has a house), and have now been absorbed into the rag-tag Tedworth Hunt. One of the Masters of the Tedworth is David Doel, who Wiltshire Hunt Sabs report was present at that Avon Vale dig out. He is also a Director of the Lacock Dairy (and whose home is the base for Reybridge Eventing). As Wiltshire Hunt Sabs pithily puts it, “Given Doel’s role in the Avon Vale fox dig out videos, where live foxes were dug from badger setts and thrown to the Avon Vale hounds to the shrieks of delight from the depraved participants such as Doel, any money spent at his establishment is funding wildlife crime, directly or indirectly.”
